Background
PIXRAY was founded as a HIT Labs UG in May 2009 by Stefan Bär, Samuli Sirén and Dr. Philipp Bouteiller. Stefan had been working on image recognition algorhythms for 5 years and introduced Samuli and Philipp the idea of flexible object analyses. These results of more than half a decade of research in the field of image processing and computer vision gave us the idea for founding the company. Our proprietary Computer Vision OS, the PIXRAY Engine™, builds the core of our products tailored at the specific needs of a diverse range of industries. Based in Potsdam, just minutes away from the German capital of Berlin, we benefit from direct access to some of the world’s leading research institutions in our discipline.
