The PIXRAY Seekerâ„¢

Overview

Our crawlers traverse the web looking for usages of the original assets.

The PIXRAY Seekerâ„¢ helps image copyright holders and brand managers to track their assets on the web. After either indexing the full image pool to be tracked or taking typical samples from the visual assets to be tracked, our crawlers traverse the web looking for usages of the original assets, derivatives of the assets or mimicry of the original assets. The PIXRAY Seekerâ„¢ will typically find usages of images even after they have been subject to basic transformations, such as rotating, cropping, mirroring, compression and minor changes to colour schemes.

How does it work ?

Determine in which country and how deep you want to search.

Before our web crawlers start searching the web for usages of your content we will index all your visual assets or a typical subsample of them. The specialists at PIXRAY will work with you to find out which method is right for you. We will then determine in which parts of the web (e.g., which countries) you wish to perform your search and how deep (i.e., up to which link hierarchy) each web site will be analysed. Once the web crawlers start their work you will get access to up-to-date information about the locations on the web where PIXRAY Seeker the found usages of your assets.

Search by typical features

What sets the PIXRAY Seekerâ„¢ apart is that it not only supports the search of previously well known images but also the search based on typical features in images. In cases where the image pool is too big to be fully indexed but where each image in the pool has certain common characteristics, we can perform our web search based solely on the common characteristics derived from a small subsample of the image pool. This is, for instance, particularly important for the copyright management of map publishers where the overall amount of data is too big to be indexed. However, since all map data belonging to one publisher typically share some characteristics, the PIXRAY Seekerâ„¢ can still identify maps on the web that appear to belong to the given map publisher.
